Hey guys, yet another updateless few weeks...
I'm so glad that we have spring break now, since the past few weeks have been hell for me, for various reasons, so public, some personal. Among these are the end of marking period stress (which was especially heightened by web design; my files dissapeared off of my computer, I was not permitted to attempt to use an "undelete" command to attempt to salvage them, and I was repeatedly assured I would have my files back, only finding out less than a week before the end of the class that I would have to redo most of the class' work in that time, plus the additional final project), knowing Raven won't be in my study hall this semester (which means I'll only see her very rarely....I'm gonna miss her, along with all the other graduating seniors who've done so much for me), and generally feeling sick (was down at the nurses' office two days this week and went home early on Wednesday. I guess these are pretty trivial teenage things, but oh well.
I spent last night at the play with Sam, Darla, and a few others, and it was great. My admiration goes out to all of you on the play crew, including the actors, crew, and pit orchestra, how you could put on a show that organized and great is beyond my comprehension ^^. And as I told Sam, I'd better see her in there next year :P
Today was a pretty quiet day...I spent most of it cleaning my room, and I bought two CDs off iTunes--"Pawn Hearts" by Van Der Graaf Generator (I've been wanting this for almost a year, very dark, jazzy prog, their vocalist is über theatrical too...think like Peter Gabriel), and "After Bathing at Baxter's" by Jefferson Airplane (I had this album on a physical LP, but I can't throw an LP on my mp3 player, and I'm lacking the hd space I'd need to convert it to a digital format [only 20 GB left on a 160 GB hd..ugh]). At night I went to hang out with MV, Klof, and Taya, to check out Guitar Hero. That game is uber-addicting; it's like DDR for your hands, and with 70s rock to boot!
I'm too tired to continue writing, so I think I'm gonna get ready and go to sleep--I gotta get up 7 AM tomorrow..gah. Then, band practice @ noon-ish, can't wait! *bops head*
Peace,
Alex
Exerpt from "A Plague of Lightouse Keepers" (these few lines rung out to meh, dunno why)
Camps of panoply and majesty,
what is Freedom of Choice?
Where do I stand in the pageantry...
whose is my voice?
It doesn't feel so very bad now:
I think the end is the start.
Begin to feel very glad now:
All things are a part
