Yeah, after using myspace and live journal more and more over xanga, I've been stretching for titles more and more ^^; Erm...well, onto the entry :D!!

So yeah, some of my worries about work and the sheer joy at summer have pretty much worn off. I'm stuck in the awkward time between the end of school and band camp. Quite frankly I really miss all my friends, which is quite a new experience for me--the summer between 9th and 10th grade was when life really "clicked" for me, when i started undoing all the years of antisocial behavior that had drug me into some of my darkest hours. So now, having more friends than I really have had ever in my life, and not seeing them over summer, I really miss them all. So yeah, I'm looking foward to Koni's party and band camp, where I can hang out with my pals. But enough with the depressing stuff...

I spent Monday night hanging out with MV and Klof, and had tons of fun. Had some fun experiences reading "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" to an unreceptive audience over Xbox Live, making the genious decision to play the drums at 11 PM, and watching power rangers for laughs. I was susposed to hang out with Lou today, but my parents wanted me to help tidy up the house, so I'll have to reschedule that for when he gets back from vacation.

Also by some twist of fate I wound up getting two anime boxsets within a day of each other. A while ago I ordered the Neon Genesis Evangelion boxset off Amazon, along with Koni's gift. From what Amazon said, I believed I wouldn't be getting it for quite a while. Then yesterday, whle cleaning out my room I found a gift card to Best Buy. I decided to check out their anime selection since I've heard it's quite impressive. And just my luck, they managed to have the Noir boxset. Thinking I wouldn't be getting my evangelion box for at least another week, I went out on a limb and bought it 'cause I love that show. Then lo-and-behold, by some odd act of luck, it got delivered today. KInda a waste on my part, but, hey, I'm not complaining! XD

So, there's not much else I can say, guess I'll write a bit later this week.

Peace,
Alex

School is finally over, the stresses of the past several months are slowly fading on the horizon. I must admit, it feels great to have free time on my hands, although I don't know what to do with it all. So far I've been using it to just surf the web and learn C , although marching band season is just around the corner, and I can't wait for that. Drumline's definitely proving itself to be a challenge, although I'm guessing a great deal of that is due to the fact that I'm not that athletic. :P Either way, band's gonna be insane this year, even if we don't win champs again, it'll definitely be a fun ride.

Sadly, I also have to start looking for a job; my parents want me to get out into the "work world" and earn some real cash. The max I can really work though is about a month or so (due to band camp), but on the plus side, it'll mean I'll have more money towards that new laptop.

Well, this is kind of a haphazard post, and I can't think of much else to write, so see you guys later! ^_^

Peace out,
Alex

Somehow I manage to kill nearly 2 months without posting, sorry guys!

Well, a lot's happened in the past few months, watched new anime series, surfed the net, managed to flunk like half my geometry tests...er, maybe that's not really that much. ^^;

The band trip to Quebec was amazing, although I tired out rather quickly (don't have much stamina for touring XD, plus the lack of intenet). I spent a lot of time talking to friends I don't see that often anymore, and the rest just listening to music and staring off into space. The cruise was cool too, although a bit cold. I spent most of it up on the top deck avoiding the crowds, although Koni and some girl from orchestra tried to drag me onto the dance floor by force, which I wouldn't have minded if I could actually dance. :P

Friday was my birthday, and I gotta say it was at least interesting, having prom on the same day as my birthday (even if I wasn't going). And then Lisa totally made meh day by calling me to say happy birthday and chatting for a bit. It's great finally being able to talk to someone you haven't seen in a long time, especially someone you miss seeing (which counts for pretty much all my freshman friends ;-)

Oh, and today I officially bought my first mangas, after leeching off my friends for quite some time: Cowboy Bebop Vol. 1, and Hellsing Vol 7. I'm definitely reading them pretty soon, but I gotta finish the Hellsing I borrowed before I read volume 7.

Well, I'm pretty tired and can't think of much else to write.

Peace,
Alex

Hey guys, yet another updateless few weeks...

I'm so glad that we have spring break now, since the past few weeks have been hell for me, for various reasons, so public, some personal. Among these are the end of marking period stress (which was especially heightened by web design; my files dissapeared off of my computer, I was not permitted to attempt to use an "undelete" command to attempt to salvage them, and I was repeatedly assured I would have my files back, only finding out less than a week before the end of the class that I would have to redo most of the class' work in that time, plus the additional final project), knowing Raven won't be in my study hall this semester (which means I'll only see her very rarely....I'm gonna miss her, along with all the other graduating seniors who've done so much for me), and generally feeling sick (was down at the nurses' office two days this week and went home early on Wednesday. I guess these are pretty trivial teenage things, but oh well.

I spent last night at the play with Sam, Darla, and a few others, and it was great. My admiration goes out to all of you on the play crew, including the actors, crew, and pit orchestra, how you could put on a show that organized and great is beyond my comprehension ^^. And as I told Sam, I'd better see her in there next year :P

Today was a pretty quiet day...I spent most of it cleaning my room, and I bought two CDs off iTunes--"Pawn Hearts" by Van Der Graaf Generator (I've been wanting this for almost a year, very dark, jazzy prog, their vocalist is über theatrical too...think like Peter Gabriel), and "After Bathing at Baxter's" by Jefferson Airplane (I had this album on a physical LP, but I can't throw an LP on my mp3 player, and I'm lacking the hd space I'd need to convert it to a digital format [only 20 GB left on a 160 GB hd..ugh]). At night I went to hang out with MV, Klof, and Taya, to check out Guitar Hero. That game is uber-addicting; it's like DDR for your hands, and with 70s rock to boot!

I'm too tired to continue writing, so I think I'm gonna get ready and go to sleep--I gotta get up 7 AM tomorrow..gah. Then, band practice @ noon-ish, can't wait! *bops head*

Peace,
Alex

Exerpt from "A Plague of Lightouse Keepers" (these few lines rung out to meh, dunno why)
Camps of panoply and majesty,
what is Freedom of Choice?
Where do I stand in the pageantry...
whose is my voice?
It doesn't feel so very bad now:
I think the end is the start.
Begin to feel very glad now:
All things are a part

Two updates in one week? Preposterous!!

I kinda forgot about St. Paddy's day being yesterday--although I'm like 50% Irish, I didn't find out until I got to school. Yesterday was kinda a relaxed day, it wasn't as stresfull with like quizzes to study for, and so forth. I was also thinking of going to the movies & houlihans with friends, but I never really found out what time we were meeting, or even what movie we were seeing! Hopefully I'll make it next time. ^_^

And for the breaking news of the week, Bleach is freaking officially licensed. VIZ grabbed it, so it should be on Adult Swim sometime next fall. Although I prefer the original Japanese versions of most animes, I'm still curious to see what the English voices will sound like.

Can't think of much else to write...just came down with a bad case of writer's block right about now...

Peace,
Alex

Finally putting teh LJ to use XD...

Well, anyways things have been going great for me socially recently; people have been randomly lending me DVDs, I've been getting to see a lot of friends more often that I haven't seen in ages, and I've made a whole lot of new friends.

The fun part is the academics--I've got my weaker subjects now, math and bio, so I have to actually study (can't coast thru) -_-. Also, in web design, due to some sytem error/not-so-1337 h4x0r, all my files are gone...for the entire marking period. The school techs tried all the usual stuff to "undelete" the files (when a file is deleted, it is merely removed from the file system, it's still on the drive for a bit, if ya got the tools), but to no avail. So I'm hoping that perhaps the periodic system backups they do can be used to salvage at least some of my work.

The weather was also great yesterday, sunny and warm; it's definitely nearing summer. And ya can't think of summer without marching band!

Ah, well, I'm gonna get going...got lotsa DVDs to watch ^^;

Peace,
Alex

CB has quite possibly the worst organization of any school district I've ever seen; they call off school, without telling the buses, then when they realize that call it off instead of just having us go home...uugh.

Well, life's been pretty cool recently, although I miss most of my classes from last semester (History, German, English, etc). Right now I've got Bio and Math, my two weekest subjects, although some things are better than the first semester. For one, I've got the craziest lunch--while I was worried about having no one in my lunch, it turns out I have a great deal of friends in there. Study hall is great as well, although I feel so young since I hang out with Karl (junior) and Amber (senior).

Haven't had the time to really sit down and watch a lot of new anime recently, but I've managed to fit in about a volume of the Rurouni Kenshin manga, which I'm currently addicted to (and too poor to buy, so I just borrow from Jess XD).

Last weekend was quite possibly the best time I've had in a long time--I spent almost the whole weekend hanging out with Mike, Tanya & Klof, just eating pizza, watching movies, and playing some of the strangest video games ever made (Altered Beast, Mortal Kombat, etc.).

I'll try to keep a more active update schedule going from now on ^^;

Peace,
Alex

Well hey guys, I finally managed to grab a LiveJournal account, since I've been meaning to get one (and Jess finally talked me into it XD). Well, I'll probably do a more in-depth update later tonight (on all 3 blogs now, haven't updated in ages), and get a better layout, etc (createblog doesn't have any good anime ones for LJ).

Well, I'll be sure to update later. ^_^

Peace,
Alex
